Ketchup or Catch up

Sorry for being away for so long but as you all know our 11 year old son “Hammy” was diagnosed with a brain tumour November 5th 2012, and had surgery to remove it January 7th 2013, he is recovering nicely, to look and talk to him you would never know that he had recently under gone major surgery, the only effect left from the surgery is the fact that he is partially blind in his right eye. Its his peripheral vision that is affected at the moment, he is in therapy for that and his surgeon says that his vision should improve if not return.

To say things have been chaotic and frantic around here the last few months would be a drastic under statement to say the least. Things like getting wifi or wireless internet out here have been put on the back burner and had fallen into the “things that are not important category” as has repairing the car and van, repairing the house etc, but as the days go by I am slowly catching up on the not important file and getting things done such as home repairs, acquiring a reliable vehicle, getting internet access, catching up on bills etc.

Yesterday I borrowed a friends car and took our son to the city of Regina for a day out together, we went on a small shopping spree , he had saved up enough money to buy a couple games for his PS3, he wanted Black Ops 2 but E-B Games was sold out of that, so he bought himself Modern Warfare 3 and Battle Ship, we forgot to buy a keyboard for my Wifes PC and a battery for her DS thing, ah well next week. We also went to Visions (major electronics store) and I bought a wireless internet stick through Bell and a router so we can run more than 1 computer at the same time online, not that there will be more than 1 online often.

I also went and looked at another car , a 1998 Chevrolet , it only has 78,000kms ( about 60,000 miles) on the motor, the guy wants $1500, I didnt buy it yet, but have been emailing back and forth finding out why he wants to sell it.

I will get my trusty red DORF repaired, its the exhaust manifold that cracked, I have the new one and the gaskets for it but more or less have to wait for spring to install it as it has been minus 45C ( minus 49 F ) just a tad too dang cold to be working on a motor. So the plan is buy another car, repair the red DORF and use it as a spare car.

We have 6+ feet of snow on the ground, and the snow banks that make up the wind rows are almost 12+ feet high, some of the snow drifts in are yard are in excess of 8 feet, it has been a cold snowy winter and when spring arrives the village of Pense is going to flood for sure, I know that our property will be under at least 2 feet of water for sure, thats okay though, I am ready for that, I have spent the winter shovelling a 4 foot path around the house and have a couple sump pumps on stand by, no water will get in the house or the crawl space, the house itself is perched on a foundation that lifts the house a good 4 feet off the ground, the crawl space itself is all concrete and sand, even if water breached the foundation walls, there is nothing in the crawl space that could be harmed, there is no electrical wires there, no furnace, just plumbing and sewer pipes. All I would do is simply pump it out then spread lye across the sandy floor to prevent any mildew or smells, open the outside access doors, put a screen and chicken wire across the opening and let it air out all summer, be good as new when done.

The Sundown Optimist Club of Regina is having its 33rd annual classic car draw, this year they are raffling off a 1968 Ford Mustang, so I bought 50 of them, the money goes to support youth programs so I figured it was money well spent, I dont have a snow balls chance in hell of actually winning the car, my chances are 20 in 46,000 , but hey thats alright. Last year I entered for a 1974 Corvette Stingray ...didnt win that one either lol its like the lottery, I never win but play each week, cant win if you dont have a ticket, its more of a waste of money but its only $6 per week. Chances are slim to non that I will ever hit the jackpots, but through the years I have won $50 here and $1500 there and loads of free tickets but never the “big one” I just play for the fun of it and never expect to win, if I win something , even a free ticket, then bonus, if not, oh well nothing ventured nothing gained play again. I enter pretty much every draw that the village of Pense rec board hosts, and have won various things, from candles to custom pedal bikes and a small sculpture from local artist Joe FaFar.

Well guess thats about all for now , yall have a good day

Canada’s Federal Election is coming in October

So it is election year again, a time when we choose our next @sshole er I mean Prime Minister to destroy , er I mean take care of our Great Nation ….

Technically there are 4 candidates to choose from , in no particular order they are Elizabeth May , leader of the Green Party , Thomas Mulcair , leader of the NDP ( New Democratic party) , Justin Trudeau, leader of the Liberal Party, and finally … Stephen Harper , Leader of the Nazi Party , er I mean Progressive Conservative Party .

Elizabeth May is out for sure, the Green Party only has 1 seat in Government, they are so hopelessly small and so far out to lunch they don’t even really count when it comes to Politics. I am not entirely sure what exactly the Green party stands for other than Environmentalism, to the vast majority of Canadians who are at least semi aware of the Green Party, they are thought of as an Environmental group playing politics … and seldom taken seriously , it would be like Greenpeace running for office in the USA …. same sort of thing.

Justin Trudeau and the Liberal party… Personally I do think the Liberals should be in power, the last time the liberals were in power, they balanced the budget, Canada was debt free and had a 13 Trillion dollar surplus , they made same sex marriage legal and made sure the LGBT community had Equal rights the same rights every Canadian takes for granted, They believe it is a womans right to choose what to do with her own life and body , they are pro choice, unemployment across Canada was low and the Canadian Dollar was stronger than the US’s ….. their downfall… the Long gun Registry , which basically turned every hunter and farmer into criminals for owning rifles , and did nothing to curb gun violence , it made it easier for criminals to obtain guns while making it near impossible for law abiding citizens obtain firearms. …. as long as they don’t try to force the registry on us again , they would be the best choice for Canada.

Thomas Mulcair and the NDP Party …. I truly fear these @ssholes , they are bad news for Canada, and will completely destroy our Great nation within the first 4 years of power, every single province that had the NDP leading them was left a barren wasteland of high unemployment, everyone who could afford to fled the provinces , they took the wealthiest provinces and turned them into the poorest , this is a FACT , just google them, they destroyed British Columbia and it has never fully recovered, they destroyed Saskatchewan , and that province is still trying to fully recover from their reign of tyranny and policies , they have utterly destroyed Manitoba, manitoba is now the poorest province in Canada, they are now in control of Alberta , which was a very prosperous province, rich in oil reserves and other resources, the NDP have stated point blank that they want to shut the oil industry down , that the Government should own all the resources , sadly the young folks buy into what the NDP are selling with absolutely no knowledge of the NDP track record so they vote for them. If they leave a trail of mass unemployment and poverty in every province they have held power in…. just imagine what they will do to an entire Country . Canada will be destroyed within 4 years.

Stephan Harper , and the Progressive Conservatives … or otherwise known as Satan and the Nazi Regime …. he has been in power for the last 12 years, he cares less about the environment, in fact he has removed the protected classifications on more than 5000 fresh water lakes , shrunk national parks and tried to do away with nature reserves, He deliberately got us kicked out of the UN ( we no longer have the right to an opinion or idea concerning world affairs) , he spent that 13 trillion dollar surplus within 6 months of being in office on big oil companies and other big industry and has put Canada so deep in debt it will take 20 years to recover, he fought against medical marijuana and stopped funding for science and technology , he cares less about global warming and has been trying to shove the oil pipelines down our American brothers and sisters throats , failing that he plans to run pipelines across Canada from the west to the east , right through park land and nature preserves and delicate wetlands , not to mention right through Aboriginal territories and lands with no regard for how they may feel about it, he absolutely does not give a damn about the ecosystem, Aboriginals or anyone for that matter, all he cares about is big oil and kissing the USA’s ass . He was voted in simply because he did away with the long gun registry and the farmers and hunters are no longer criminals for owning rifles.

I will be utterly shocked if Harper gets voted back into power , and sadly I will not be surprised to see the NDP take power, there are millions of new young voters who buy into their social programs and environmental ideals , but they vote without knowing the NDP history without knowing what the NDP have done to every province they have governed. it will be a ruddy miracle if the Liberals get into power again, I think they will be the official opposition ( they will take second place) .

Regardless of who you Vote for , if you are Canadian get out there and Vote , have a say in what goes on in Canada , but choose wisely , we ALL have to live with the consequences of your vote.

So that’s all for now , Remember Folks : express your love often, never take tomorrow for granted , and be kind to others .

The House just isn’t a Home when my Wife is absent

Today is the day we (my wife & I) were dreading, Chemo day, my Wife gets upset and cries when ever she has to go in for chemo, partly because it makes her so sick (ironic since it is also what’s keeping her alive) and partly because for the next 3 or 4 days she will be separated from her Family (Hammy and I) as well as her beloved pets ,Sabre (Cat) , Tippy (Cat) , Teddy Bearz (Cat) and Peepster (Cat) and of course Memphis (Big Doofy Dog), and the fact she will be away from her home.

It breaks my heart to see her cry, knowing that there is absolutely nothing I can do or say to ease her physical pain or emotional turmoil, I comfort her as best as I can and try to remain positive and strong for her, outwardly I am an emotional rock, but inside I’m dying a thousand deaths knowing my wife suffers so much from Cancer, I want to scream and shout and punch something, anything just to be able to unload the heart ache I feel, knowing that the chemo , at best, is buying my wife a few extra months of life here on earth with us, always praying for a miracle , while also praying that she passes quickly in her sleep so the hurt and pain she feels will cease.

It’s hard on me to see her suffer, to see her struggle to get better so she can see her son graduate, get married, have kids etc. It kills me to know that I can’t fix this, for 17 years with her I have had all the answers, fixed all her problems, stood at her side lovingly through hell and back and through heavenly times too. Now I am at her side to the bitter end, with nothing but pure love and gratefulness, I am so very grateful that she chose to be in my life for the last 17 years, I wish and pray she could be in my life 17 more, but I know that ,that can never happen, a very huge part of me is dying inside.

Yesterday she told me that when she passes, she would want for me to find a companion or at the very least a friend, I told her I could never ever do that, she is my soul mate, I could never find that sort of love and happiness again, no I will remain single, raise our boy to be a fine man,and grow old with my memories of her.

Tonight the house just isn’t a home without my wife here, the atmosphere is different and time passes so slowly, I have to come home every evening because of our boy Hammy, even he notices the subtle changes in the house when she is not here, even the animals notice and react different than usual when she isn’t here.

With that I will say good night, I have opened up as much as I want to do for now, …Remember to express your love often, and never take tomorrow for granted. Peace be with you all

My Wife’s Cancer is taking it’s toll

So as you all know my wife has lung cancer, a rare form of it, we got to see the CT Scan on June 4th, it’s not good, my wife has a very large aneurysm on her main artery that goes to her right lung, it is caused by the cancerous tumor, the chemo is causing the tumor to shrink so that for the first time the Doctors can see what is going on behind and around it, and the tumor has done a lot of damage.

My Wife’s chemo treatments have been suspended until the aneurysm is repaired, which is scheduled to happen Tuesday June 10th at the General Hospital in Regina (Saskatchewan,Canada) , it’s a high risk surgery as she also has a massive blood clot in her heart (in the upper right chamber), they can’t do anything that will cause that clot to break free and travel to her 1 remaining fully functioning lung or even worse pass through her heart, either situation is fatal to her.

She takes daily Fragmin (blood thinner) injections, 15,000 IU per shot, it is slowly dissolving that blood clot and others in her bad lung, so it’s not like nothing is being done to fix the blood clot.

The scary part aside from the pending surgery to repair the aneurysm is the fact that her chemo is temporarily suspended, which means that damn Cancer tumor is going to start growing again, it’s a extremely aggressive cancer (synovial sarcoma), the tumor grows daily not gradually, as the Doctor aptly put it :My Wife is caught between the Devil and the deep blue sea!, meaning she is going to die without surgery to repair the aneurysm and she may die if the surgery is not a success, add to that a growing cancerous tumor and the outcome is not very good.

The plan is to do the surgery on June 10th, then transfer her from the General to the Allen Blair Cancer Center and start the chemo on the 11th, the 12th the absolute latest, she has no recovery time , she can’t afford a couple days or a week to recover from the surgery, the chemo has to start asap as the tumor will be growing by then, she was suposed to do her chemo today but it was cancelled until after the surgery, the Doctors didn’t want to give the surgeons any excuse to say they couldn’t operate.

So that is where we are at with everything, I am very scared and worried for my wife, I am not prepared to bury her , I can’t imagine life without her, we have been together for 17 wonderful years and have beat the odds and built a life and a family together, Outwardly I remain rock solid, I am my wife’s emotional rock , I remain strong and confident for her and for Hammy (our son) , but inwardly my very soul is crying in anguish, my heart is breaking for my wife, I step outside for a few moments every few hours to pull myself together, I write in my blog to weigh everything out, to share our story with others, to let the world know about my beautiful amazing wife , to collect my thoughts and as a form of therapy, and yes if and when my wife passes I shall continue to blog, it will be hard , but I want my wifes life to be celebrated by the world, and to let others who may be dealing with a serious illness or a loss know that I understand what they are going through, and no matter the outcome, life has to go on as hard as it may be.

So that’s all I have to say for tonight, remember folks, don’t take tomorrow for granted, express your love often, and be kind to others, Peace and love to you all

Guess what my new hobby is

So I spent a year watching people like Tim, Tickle,Popcorn Sutton, and Jim Tom on TV and was thinking jeez laweez that looks like fun! not running from the revenue man or the law, but What it is these colorful characters do, so I figured Id give it a whirl, since I dont yet have a functional "mechanical container" (Still),I am currently using the fermentation method.

anyway here is a easy recipe for some good home brew

Easy RUM

Two pounds of brown sugar per one gallon of water and one cup of honey for every ten gallon batch. Starting hydrometer reading of about 90. Do not exceed 100. Add 1 to 3 ozs of yeast per 10 gallons of mash.

Heat one fourth of your water to 120 or 130 degrees only hot enough to melt the sugar, then stir in your sugar and then the honey last. Pour it into your fermenter and finish filling with cool water to cool it down to 80 degrees. Take a hydrometer reading and adjust as needed. The add your yeast. 6 to 14 days to ferment.

I am pretty sure making moonshine is illegal here in Canada as well, however you Can buy beer, wine, and spirits making kits, and with all the required equipment build a decent still as well, so as long as its not sold and only used for personal use and brewed in batches of 2 to 10 gallon batches then theres not a lot the law can do about it.

I am working on a simple stove top still made from a pressure cooker and about 10 feet of 1/4 inch copper pipe, when I perfect it I will post pictures.

Anyway its late , have a good weekend folks

Holistic Journey what exactly my wife is doing to combat the cancer within

This Blog post is about Holistic/Homeopathic Healing, particularly what my wife is doing to Combat her Lung Cancer, I want to STRESS that the Medical worlds use of Chemo Therapy is what in fact saved her life, and after 8 rounds of Chemo over the course of 8 months, she survived and was able to begin the Holistic part of her fight against Cancer.

All over the internet you can read about folks who have cured themselves with various holistic and non medical methods, Rick Simpson is a good example, he in fact did cure his cancer with Hemp Oil, there are many many stories about Hemp Oil and of people who have been cured from using it, and they are in fact true. Hemp oil is most certainly a good tool in the fight against Cancer, The reason why they don’t use it in Hospitals? Because the big drug companies can’t patent a plant that anyone can grow! Sad but true.

There are other Cancer fighters out there that can help combat, manage and cure Cancers, like B-17 ( Laetrile/Amygdalin) my wife takes it in capsule form 100 mg 3X per day, now the capsules are illegal in many places (due mostly to cyanide build up fears by the medical profession), Mexico uses B-17 in their hospitals to treat Cancer patients, if you can’t find B-17 in capsule form all is not lost, you can get Apricot bitters (crushed/ground up Apricot seeds) at your local health food or Holistic store, there is Laetrile in them, you can use a grinder and grind them down further and make your own capsules if need be, or sprinkle it in your foods and salads, you can also simply eat the crushed seeds.

Curcumin (Turmeric extract) is also another Cancer fighting agent, and is legal world wide, my wife takes 680 mg 3X per day in capsule form, this stuff does more than just fight cancer, if you have arthritis it helps lessen the frequency of the flare ups and helps boost your immune system, you can find a ton of information on Curcumin (turmeric extract) online and it’s various uses.

Cannabis Sativa seed oil is a weaker but legal version of Hemp oil, it can be found at health food stores and Holistic stores , my wife takes 760mg 3 X per day in capsule form , the THC level is so low that it’s not even mentioned on the ingredient list, but the Cannabinoids are all there that are needed to combat cancers where as Hemp oil is high in THC. (Hemp oil would obviously be the better choice of the two, but you work with what’s available) Hemp oil is really expensive and unaffordable to many people (including us) so we use the affordable Cannabis Sativa seed oil..

Another thing she does is change the PH balance in her body, Cancer likes an acidic environment, 1 teaspoon of Baking Soda in an 8 ounce glass of lemon water (no sugar) and she drinks that 3X per day to maintain a PH balance that the Cancer can not thrive in…. Baking soda was found to combat cancers very early in the last century (late 1800’s early 1900’s) there is a lot of info online about it.

Finally Chemo destroys your immune system, making it so you can’t be around people with colds or flu’s or any illness as what is minor to them could be fatal to you, the medical world generally doesn’t tell you when your immune system will start recovering or if it will recover at all…. so many questions left unanswered, for a mega immune booster (and again a cancer fighter) Honey and Ginger , I make mason jars of this for my wife, basically I fill half a mason jar with honey, then the other half with fresh shopped and diced Ginger and mix it all together thoroughly, my wife takes 1 teaspoon 4X per day straight out of the jar, it has to be a plastic or ceramic spoon as metal spoons cause some sort of chemical reaction, I found this recipe online , and I can tell you after 3 days of her doing this her energy levels are through the roof!

These are the Homeopathic medicines that my wife uses, I can’t tell you what capsule is working or what combination she is taking that is working, but what she is taking is helping her, is it Curing her Cancer?? … I won’t be able to tell you until February the 11th , when we find out the results of the CT Scan which happens February 4th . It truly is helping her, but if it’s curing her we don’t know just yet.

I won’t say screw the medical world and fight cancer on your own with Holistics and homeopathy, that choice is yours and yours alone, but I will say that supplementing medical treatment with holistics can be a good thing and generally won’t hurt you, But Definitely look into Hemp oil, if you can afford it and obtain it , it may just be the magic bullet as there is so much information out there on it.

The whole point of this post is NOT to say screw medical help, the point is to put it out there and make people aware that there are alternatives, that there is more options than just Chemo, to get people to start researching alternatives to Chemo, to make people aware that we do not have to rely on the big drug and pharmaceutical companies to heal us when we are broken, that there are alternatives, to share information on what works, or seems to work, to make people aware.

The above regimen that my wife is on is working for her, will it work the same for you? I don’t know, as I stated we are not sure what combinations are doing what, so we stick to them all and that seems to be benefiting her a very great deal, she is pain free and has no shortness of breath, she is able to have an almost normal life again, she feels good and is healthy, as I also said she gets a CT scan February 4th and we will find out just how much all of this is helping February 11th, and you can bet I will post the results here in my Blog.

So that’s it for now, from My little Family to you and yours , Have a Blessed and Merry Christmas

Remember folks, express your love often, never take tomorrow for granted, and be kind to others

Our son is on the mend

Our son had surgery to remove the brain tumor Monday January 7th, I excluded photos of him in the ICU and all the tubes wires and machinery, instead I posted one of the back of his head 5 days after surgery, as you can see he is healing very well, and is due to be released from the hospital Monday January 14th ! he is up and about and happy, the only side effect from the surgery is his lack of balance and he is partially blind in his right eye.

The Dr. says that his balance and vision should come back over time, and will be sending him to the Wascana Rehabilitation Center for physio, all is well and getting better every day! Thank you for your thoughts and prayers, they helped carry our son and our family through this difficult time.

Guess thats about it for now, Take care and God Bless

I started out a couple years ago at blogspot because it is an easier format ( I like the simple things) , also I could customize the holy jinkers out of it and make it mine, something I am still figuring out how to do here at wordpress, I’ll get it….. eventually! ( I’m not the most tech savvy Butch on the planet) As I found out (the hard way) it isn’t easy to copy and paste from blogspot to here (the platforms must not agree) but it is easy peasy to copy and paste from wordpress to blogspot, so that’s exactly what I do.

That said, now onto bigger and better things!

My wife is home from the Cancer center again, she finished up her Chemo Sunday and the doc said I could bring her home, She is pretty sick at the moment, chemo really knocks the hell outta her, she should start feeling better within the next day or two.

My heart Zings when I get to have her at home, when she is at the hospital I miss her dearly, she doesn’t like visitors when she is getting chemo so I stay away and it truly kills me, I love her so very much and everytime she goes into the hospital, I pray that she comes back out.

The atmosphere of the house has shifted yet again, now it truly feels like a home again, as I have stated when she is away the house seems cold and quite uninviting , My wife has a big personality and a big presence and you feel that when she is near. We give each other comfort and strength through these rough times, add our son Hammy to that and as a team we forge ahead regardless of the obstacles, as a family united it feels like we are unstoppable, but remove just one from the team, we flounder and begin to fail, we have our share of ups and downs that’s for sure.

You really don’t know how truly strong you are until you are literally backed into a corner with very little hope of escape, I don’t even truly know how strong I am …yet, as hard as it is to have the Love of my Life have stage 4 (end stage) Lung Cancer, I still carry on and get what needs to be done, done, life has to go on, I look after her as best I can, make sure she is comfortable, make sure she gets her meds on time, administering her needles and making sure she wants for nothing & being the rock to lean on that she needs me to be.

Then there is Hammy (not his real name, just my nick name for him) he is a pretty independent 12 year old, but still needs his Mom (my wife)and sometimes me (Dad),but mostly his Mom , I try to take care of his emotional needs as well, keep him positive and happy , it is very hard for him as well, he knows the truth, that his Mom is most likely not going to survive this illness, we don’t lie to him, it is better that he knows the truth from the get go than to have him be angry and hate me for not telling him just how serious this is later, and again being the emotional rock that he also needs me to be.

I don’t really take good care of myself, I do the bare minimum when it comes to myself, yes I keep good hygiene, yes I keep fed, yes I take my own meds for depression, but that’s about it, I don’t do therapy, I just don’t have the time, between getting our son to his therapy sessions and looking after my wife, the house, bills, property, animals,(dog and cats) , work schedules, I don’t really have time to do much else, so here is my therapy, writing in my blog and continuously fighting with spell checker that doesn’t recognize Canadian English, dropping the “u” is the bane of my existence.

Inner strength, do I have it? I guess so , where it comes from I do not know, I have always been a “get -er – done ” kind of person always doing what needs doing no matter how tough the doing is, it doesn’t make me any kind of special, just makes me able to quickly get a handle on most problems and solve them, that’s all, nothing more.

I am NOT the solid unbreakable rock that I appear to be, there are many cracks in my foundations, they are just unseen by others, my wifes cancer and the fact that it is terminal blew a pretty big hole in my foundations, I patched them as best I can and got down to the business of looking after her, another major crack in my foundation is the fact that just last year our son Hammy was fighting for his young life, he had a brain tumor, thank god it turned out to be benign , the surgery to remove it damn near killed him. I also carry many cracks from years past, my youth and childhood, I got good at patching the cracks, so I don’t rightly know just how strong my inner strength is, I haven’t hit my limit just yet, I’ve come close plenty of times, but always managed to patch it before imploding.

Leads me to believe that human beings are so much stronger than they believe they are, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, physically, especially when the situation is balls to the walls dire, I think it’s in everyone , the lucky ones just never have to use it, I mean really use it. Most people will have to draw on that inner strength in one form or another, and all I can say is, hang in there , draw on it , use it,and you will survive , you can do it, just be confident and truly believe in yourself and anything is possible. thats a fact for sure.

Anyway that’s all I got for tonight, remember to express your love often, don’t take tomorrow for granted, Peace be with each and every one of you

Catching up Again!

Sorry for not writing in awhile, there are a few reasons (excuses)as to why I havent been writing lately, #1- out here in the country we lack Cable internet or any other form of land based internet, we rely on a wireless internet mobile stick, (like wifi) , which has many advantages over land based connections, such as complete control over who uses your internet (no stick no internet simple no?), also you can plug it into any pc or laptop ipad or any internet able device and boom youre online instantly, your not restricted to any buildings, grab your laptop and sit in the middle of a field day or night or use it in your car etc, its mobile.

The downside? we have only 1 internet mobile stick and we have a 12 year old who "needs" to electronically amuse himself, (he plays games posts kid type stuff on his facebook and writes his pen pals ) , I am also married to a wonderful wife who has a pretty bad You-Tube addiction, she is hooked on 80s music and funny videos, so that means (even though I pay for the device),I get the last dibs on the internet! (dunno how or why that came to be, I just come to accept it as fact)

Sooo, since I dont get use of the internet often (as much as "I" would like), I have been keeping busy winterizing the cars, the house, the work sheds, the yard etc. getting ready for another 6 to 7 months of pure Canadian Winter HELL, (okay so Im getting old and the winters are getting harder on me with each passing year) I tell you unless you live in Alaska or the North Pole, or Siberia, you just can not fathom how bitterly cold our Canadian Prairie Winters can be, imagine 12 foot tall snow banks on either side of your 135 foot long driveway, that you have to shovel by hand at times because its so bitterly cold your snow blower and tractor are froze up solid, now keep that image and add a balmy minus 45 to minus 50 temperature, much colder if the wind is blowing quicker than 10 miles an hour ,and it does, it usually gusts 40 to 80 miles an hour, yeah, well there you are ,Welcome to HELL and yes it does freeze over!!

I shouldnt curse our luck just yet by mentioning snow just yet (yes snow is a 4 letter swear word , in fact it is the foulest of swear words known to human kind), I mean there is None YET!! this time last year we were buried up to our asses in it, so I count my small blessings, this is October so anything is possible.

Nature sure is pretty this time of year though, all the leaves have turned bright crimson reds and bright yellows, except for the evergreens, blue spruce, white pines, and majestic douglas furs who defy the seasons and remain vibrant greens and blues, the grass is still green though dormant now, hordes of wild geese and other warm weather fowl are gathering in the now empty fields preparing for their journey south, while the summer birds go the winter birds are arriving, chickadees, snowy owls, etc, the rabbits are turning from browns and grays to white, it really is a pretty sight.

I will purchase a new camera (since I drove over my last one) and take photos and post them this winter,I would like to get even more wild life photos than I managed last winter,if I can get a good enough camera I will get you all some photos of our winter storms too, I would also like to get a cheap video camera so I can post videos to this blog, Im working on that, maybe Santa will be nice to me this year.

anyway, thats all for now

My Memorial Tattoo to my late wife is done!! photos

So as I told you all yesterday, I was getting a Tattoo to honour my Wife, She absolutely LOVED Wolves, I truly believe Wolves were her kindred Spirit, she in fact picked this very wolf design out for me back in November-December, when I mentioned that I’d like to get another Tattoo, so this one has very deep meaning to me. I had her first name added because I wanted Everyone who sees it to know just how special this Tattoo is.

My love for my wife will never fade or diminish, I love her now, always, and forever, this Tattoo will keep her memory alive for all time.

I had this done in just one sitting, it took about an hour and a half, it’s on my upper left arm, it will take a couple days for the redness to dissipate and the swelling to go down, did it hurt? not really no it honestly didn’t, it felt much the same as a sunburn , this is the second Tattoo on my left arm , the other is on my forearm:

This one is a Memorial to my Father, it’s about 10 years old now and due for a touch up, which I am having done on my next visit to my Tattoo Artist, on the underside of this arm I am going to have my Son’s name going from Elbow to wrist in Old English/Calligraphy lettering done, I left a space between this Tattoo and the one I just got today for a Dove with an Olive Branch in it’s beak , that one will be for my Mother when she passes.

As I said in a previous post about Tattoo’s, I can’t show you the one’s on my thigh’s without showing you my junk, and I am certainly no going to let you see that, that is sacred ground, off limits to everyone on the planet… that, and I’m not an exhibitionist lol

Anyway, that’s about all I have to say tonight, Remember folks:express your love often, never take tomorrow for granted, and be kind to others.
