Cancer Now What

in 2013 if you remember our son Hammy had a brain tumor removed and thank Christ, survived. That was a very stressful time for my wife and I, the thought of losing our son terrified us and our hearts were broken that at age 12 he would be struck down with a brain tumor, as I said he survived, he is now the picture of perfect health, to look at and talk to him youd never know that just a year ago he was fighting for his young life.

Now I am not really a religious person, I am spiritual, but I have to say last year I spent a great many days and nights praying, we had great support from friends, family, and the little village where we live, we got through the ordeal and were left emotionally raw but unified as a family.

Flip the page to 2014, and another bombshell hits our family causing mass emotional casualties and plunging our quiet lives into utter chaos.

In December my Wife developed a persistent cough, we passed it off as bronchitis as both Hammy and I just came through a bout of it, so we thought nothing much about it, my wifes cough did not go away at all through January, finally February rolls around and I convince her to go to the doctor, the doctor thinks it is a lung infection and gives her some antibiotics and a chest x ray, the x ray shows 2 small black spots on her left lung, the x ray doesnt clearly show the right lung so the doctor says go home take the antibiotics and he will set up a ct scan appointment because he has some concerns about those 2 spots.

Feb. 10th I take my wife in for her ct scan, 10 minutes later the technician comes out with a very worried look and says you NEED to take her to emergency at the general hospital, I called they are waiting for you.

I panic and speed her over to the general, they were waiting, they put her in a room and hook up a ton of machines to her, start taking blood and asking a million questions, finally after a few hours specialists start coming in and talking to us, first they inform us that she has a bad pulmonary embolism (blood clot) in her lung and it could kill her if it broke free and travelled to her heart. they gave her a shot of fragmin in her belly (blood thinner)then they proceed to tell us about the 2 small spots on her left lung, then about the golf ball sized tumor on her right lung, they are pretty sure it is Cancer.

My wife is medicated and not catching all of what is being said, My world collapsed around me as I spoke with the doctors, Lung Cancer! she doesnt smoke, never has, doesnt drink, never has, has never taken any illegal drugs or other substances, never worked in an environment that deals with chemicals or asbestos ( she was a day care teacher for 17 years before becoming a cook at the local pub this past year)

The problem is my wife is asymptomatic , other than a cough she is perfectly healthy, no rapid weight loss, no shortness of breath, no weakness, no getting tired etc etc etc , she is put on fragmin for the embolism and sent home because it is almost the weekend and the labs use that time to catch up not take new clients so we are told to be back at the hospital the following wednesday Feb 26 at 4 pm.

Feb 26 they admit her back into the hospital and keep her, I stayed with her and had a friend look after Hammy at home, the next day they do a biopsy on the tumor to be absolutely sure it is Cancer and which type it is and form a plan on removing it, either by Chemo or surgery.

My wife came through the biopsy well enough, her lung did not collapse they kept x raying her every hour to be sure and kept her for another night, she was a bit miffed that she couldnt go home that night, but I had to head home and take care of some business, I went back to the hospital this last Friday to see about bring her home, they were still x raying her every hour and finally around 2 pm said she could come home, the doctors made sure I knew how to inject her with fragmin and made sure she had a 1 month supply, and told us to come back next friday for the biopsy results.

So that is where we are at right now, home waiting for the results.

My wife is not simply my wife, she is also my best friend and my soul mate as well as a mother to a 12 year old boy who looks just like her.
I am truly scared, not much in life scares me, but the thought that I could lose my wife terrifies me beyond belief.
We have been together for 17 wonderful years now and I am praying for at the very least another 17, I truly do not know what I would do without her, I worry about our son and how he would react, he is in emotional hell right now, we both are, him more so since after his surgery he has become more sensitive and emotionally unbalanced, he is in therapy for this and for what is going on with his mother.

I really dont know what else to say or how to end this post, so I will leave it here and update everyone as things happen and develop .

what and why I blog

when I first started this blog life was as good as it could be given the circumstances, my Wife was alive and living with stage 4 lung cancer (Synovial Sarcoma), she was able bodied at first, and my blog reflected that, yes I was worried but not too concerned, so my posts were about stuff I had done in my life, sometimes boring sometimes funny, and food…oh how I do love food so I posted my favorite recipes.

Then came the 8 rounds of Chemo, she was very very sick and very nearly died a few times, and my blog began to reflect that, I began to blog more and more about my wife and how brave and strong she was (I am telling you now, I doubt I have the Cajones to undergo 1 round of chemo, never mind 8 !!), I blogged about our life with cancer and still had great hope that we could beat this insidious disease, many of my posts were filled with cautious optimism, and my blog reflected that.

Now my wife has passed, the emptiness I feel in my very soul consumes me, I grieve hard, some days are good, most are pretty bad, and now my blog reflects that, I write about my grief, I share my loss, I let it be known that I am broken, I also write about the good days, the days when I do smile, the blogs and comments that make me actually laugh, yes laugh and brighten my day, and my blog reflects that.

I blog honest and unfiltered, I let my grief be known, I know there are many folks in my exact situation, or have been in my situation, who had and have to walk griefs path, and it’s a lonely journey and many have, are and will take that lonely journey, I know this because I do follow a few blogs whose author’s are in the midst of their own lonesome journey down griefs path, sometimes our paths cross or seem to run parallel , yet even if we were standing next to each other on our own paths, looking each other in the eye , we’d still be very much alone, I blog open and honestly and unfiltered as do they, in hopes that others who know grief will find us and know that even though we are each on our very own lonely journey, we truly are not alone, there are others, many others like me, just walking this path and waiting to come across another who may need a kind word, or a simple acknowledgement that yes, they do exist and we who grieve see and know and share their pain, perhaps we walk with them awhile to be sure they are okay, to let them know that though it doesn’t feel like it, life does go on, we,the ones left behind must go on and never give up, and I hope my blog reflects that.

I blog for the lovers and couples and the romantic people, I want to share the love I had and still have for my wife, I loved her then, I love her now,I will love her always until the end of time and beyond, I want people to know that true pure love exists, many many folks have it and don’t even realize what they have, i want to gently remind folks to stop being so busy with the business of life and take time, quality time to spend with those they love, for tomorrow is not a promise or guarantee, it may never come for some….then what? I want to gently remind folks to just hug those they love, to tell them that they are loved, let them know just how much they are truly loved, and to never assume that the others know that they are loved. my blog has become a cautionary true story and I hope everyone realizes how important it is to really communicate with those they love so god forbid something happens, there is no guilt of things left unsaid, that there is no “could of” “should of” “would of” left behind, what in life could possibly be so important that it takes precedence over those you love and your families? live each day as though it was your last…. what would you want to say to your love? your family? if you were not going to be here tomorrow what would you say to them? would they know in their hearts and very soul that you loved them? and I hope my blog reflects that.

this blog hopefully gently reminds people to be kind to others, your simple smile, a nod of your head, a kind word, may just mean the entire world to another person, dropping a few coins in a homeless persons cup, or buying them some food, giving them an old jacket or blanket, or any sort of kindness shown towards them, may just mean the world to them, your kindness towards others is worth more than all the material things and wealth in the world, your simple acknowledgement be it a smile or kind gesture to that stranger may make the difference between them living and dying, we all have our own stories, some good, some horrific, some filled with grief and sorrow, we don’t know each others story, it is not written on our clothes for others to see and read, it is not broadcast on our own individual radio station that anyone can hear,it is not automatically send out via texts, it is not something we automatically know, we each have our own story so be kind to others you most likely do not know their story or what they are going through, that kindness makes a big difference in a persons life, even if you doubt it had any effect. and I hope my blog reflects that.

well that’s about all I have to say about my blog and the direction I hope it’s going, hopefully soon I will have something happy or at least something to make you smile as you read to blog about, we shall see… I can’t see into the future, even 1 day, so I have no idea what the next post shall be about.

Remember folks:express your love often, never take tomorrow for granted, and be kind to others.

FootBall Fans…are you curious what the differences are between American NFL and Canadian CFL are…

Okay there ARE some BIG Diferrences between American Football and Canadian FootBall Differents size fields, Different rules and so much more ( Credit goes to ) ….

Canadian
110 yd long,
plus two 20 yd end zones.
Width is 65 yards. American
100 yd long,
plus two 10 yd end zones.
Width is 53.5 yards.
Canadian:

American:

12 players on the field during a play.
11 players on the field during a play.
Three downs to make 10 yards.
Four downs to make 10 yards.
6 points for a touchdown, 1 for a kicked convert, 2 for a passed or rushed convert, 3 for a field goal, 2 for a safety touch, 1 for a rouge.A rouge (also called a single) is awarded to a kicking or punting team (Team A) if an opposing player (Team B):
(i) catches or recovers a punt or a missed field goal in his own end zone but is prevented by Team A from returning the ball back out onto the field of play, or

(ii) elects to drop to one knee while still in the end zone before having returned the ball to the field of play, or

(iii) elects to run with the ball from the end zone out of bounds rather than enter the field of play.

Thus, kicking and punting plays into an opponent’s end zone are considered to be of much higher strategic value than in American football. The ball remains live until one of the above events is concluded, as well as if the Team B player successfully returns the ball out of his end zone onto the field of play.

6 points for a touchdown, 1 for a kicked convert, 2 for a run or pass convert, 3 for a field goal, 2 for a safety touch.
On a field goal attempt, the defending team may return a missed field goal to the kicking team’s end zone for a Touchdown. On a convert attempt after a touchdown, the defending team may return a missed kick convert to the kicking team’s end zone for 1 point, or if the convert was a rush or pass play may return a fumble or interception for 2 points.

A kicked ball is ruled dead (play is stopped) in the circumstances of a missed field goal or convert.
Punt or kick coverage teams must give a 5 yard empty zone around the opposing receiver until he has received the ball. This is called the No Yards rule.Kick or punt receivers must field all kicks and punts, with no exceptions.
An unhandled ball from a place kick or punt may be legally recovered by the kicker. In such a case, the kicker is exempt from the No Yardsrule. Thus, a player from Team A may punt or kick the ball 40 yards, chase the ball upfield, then recover an untouched ball for a Team A first down. Such instances are rare since the player would have to elude plenty of blocking to reach the ball. When it does happen, this play is highly exciting.

The ball is live under almost all circumstances during a legal play within bounds at any time during the game except for incomplete forward passes.

A kicked ball is ruled dead (play is stopped) if a punt or kickoff receiver:(i) allows the ball to roll to a complete stop, or
(ii) allows the opposing team to touch the ball before he does, or

(iii) elects to call a fair catch to avoid being hit (ending play). Canadians find the fair catch rule to be embarassing.

Four 15-minute quarters, with a large rest period at half time and lesser rest periods between quarters.
Four 15-minute quarters with a large rest period at half time and lesser rest periods between quarters.
The official time clock runs continuously unless stopped when a time out is called by a team, or the referee stops play to allow opposing teams to align properly after a play.
The official time clock runs continuously unless stopped when a time out is called by a team, or the referee stops play to allow opposing teams to align properly after a play.
There is a mandatory play stoppage with 3 minutes remaining in each half.
There is a mandatory stoppage of play with 2 minutes remaining in thefinal quarter.
After the three minute warning, the play clock is run only from the snap of the ball to when the referee declares that play dead. Thus, the closing minutes of a CFL game can seem like an eternity, with miraculous comebacks by trailing teams.
With a constantly running game clock, a team that is behind by a significant margin may not realistically expect to win even though half a quarter may still remain.
An offence has 20 seconds from the referee’s signal to begin a play.
An offence has 45 seconds from the referee’s signal to begin a play.
Defensive linemen must line up 1 yard opposite the line of scrimmage prior to a play.
Defensive linemen may line up immediately opposite the line of scrimmage.
Prior to the snap of the ball:(i) all offensive backfielders and receivers, except the quarterback, are allowed unlimited motion provided that they remain more than one yard behind the line of scrimmage.
(ii) offensive linemen must not move.

Prior to the snap of the ball, no member of the offence may move, with the exception of one eligible receiver, who may move only in parallel with the line of scrimmage.
Canadian football has an offensive player called a Slotback, who is a larger-sized eligible receiver somewhat like an American tight end but who does not necessarily line up with the offensive linemen as the American does. Some offensive schemes may use several slotbacks at once.
No equivalent player position exists.
Kickoffs occur from the kicking team’s own 35 yard line.
Kickoffs occur from the kicking team’s own 30 yard line.
39 full time positions on every team made up of 19 Canadian players, 17 non-Canadians, plus 3 quarterbacks.
45 full time positions on every team.
Goalposts are Tee-shaped and are located over the goal line.
Goalposts are Tee-shaped and are placed on the end zone’s farthest boundary line from the field of play, 10 yards behind the goal line.
A Look At The Players

Canadian:

American:

Linebackers and defensive linemen require greater footspeed, faster lateral movement, better catching ability due to larger field and prevalent passing style of Canadian offences.
Linemen and linebackers are less mobile, are larger in size due to smaller field and prevalent running style of American offences.
Quarterbacks use dropback, shotgun, and option styles, and must also be able to scramble and improvise. Receivers and defensive backs are same size as in American football.
Due to much smaller field, quarterbacks do not need to be as mobile. They rely on dropback and shotgunstyles, with some use of the option.
Smaller roster means most players must play on special teams, thus requiring more skills and greater stamina due to greater game time per player.
Large roster means special teams have their own set of specialist players.
20 second interval between plays, combined with special teams duties, means players must have greater stamina, endurance.
45 second interval between plays means all players have longer recovery time, so lesser need for stamina, endurance.
Players originally from Canada have lesser technical training in their developmental years than Americans, but turn out to be exemplary performers when coached at the professional level. Canadian players usually progress from CJFL (Junior) or more likely CIAU (University) football to the CFL. Canadian universities do not offer monetary athletic scholarships of the type common in the United States. Academic athletes in Canada must achieve passing grades in typical undergraduate courses. Some Canadian youngsters opt to attend American colleges for the better training and the monetary scholarships offered.Canada is a nation of almost 30 million people.
American players in the CFL almost always opt to play in Canada because the quality of their talent may be equal to that of an NFL player but their physical size was deemed to be not large or heavy enough for the American football style. Canadian teams purposely recruit speedy and talented American players who have been cut from NFL teams for being undersized. The CFL offers these players an opportunity to continue their playing careers.

With a population of about 260 million, and with an enormous amateur and college football system of leagues and coaching, American teams have their choice of the cream of their best trained and most talented players. There are about 1,200 players under contract in the NFL. Some Canadians play in the NFL if they are of sufficient size.
Standard salaries of CFL players range from about $30,000 per year for rookies to about $250,000 for starting quarterbacks.
Salaries can reach into the millions of dollars per year for top NFL players.
Of Course being a Canadian , I am Biased and truly believe our CFL is much better and much more entertaining than the NFL , oh just one more little tidbit of information, in the final 2 minutes or seconds of the game … Canadians do NOT take a knee and wait for the clock to run out … we play to the very end win or lose, doesn’t matter if our teams are losing by 2 or 102 , we continue to give it our all until the bitter end. …. just thought I’d throw that out there for ya’s .

Now for the Burning questions…#1 what is your favourite league?, #2 who is your favorite team? #3 win or lose , do you stay loyal to your chosen team? #4 Does your team consider you (the fans) to be their 13th man? ( 12th for you American’s) … #5 Does your team include you (the fans) in their victories? , #6 does your team make you (the fans) feel like you are an important and integral part of the team? …. #7 if you answered NO to any question from #4 to #6 …. perhaps you SHOULD consider coming to the Green Side and Joining Rider Nation! … we will teach you how to properly cut and wear a watermelon on your head, we will also teach you how to properly wear a Pilsner beer bottle box on your head ( Can not be any other beer brand except Pilsner) , we will feed you the best tailgate BBQ on the planet and load you up with all the Pilsner beer you can drink , we will also ply you with green jello shots between beers , we will teach you multiple Rider Pride songs and of course the sacred Anthem, we will arm you with various noisemakers ( boom sticks vuvuzelas, trumpets, bugles and drums ), we will teach you the chant that strikes terror in any opposing team, we will teach you to out shout and cheer any stray opposing teams fans, and how to drown them out and deafen them when they attempt to gather en masse, we will teach you how to have Pride win or lose , and after 3 or 4 games you will find that you too bleed Green! Typical attire to be worn at any Rider game… anything GREEN (Rider Jersey preferred ) Green face paint ( get creative here and create any design or warrior look you like, we truly appreciate the extra effort) The Sacred Watermelon! make sure this is worn as a helmet on your head, ( You may add horns or any other item of your choice, with the exception of teletubby handles or antenna’s … TINKY WINKY is OUT!! ) if for some reason you can not locate a watermelon ( out of season, opposing teams home town/city has the grocery stores hide the watermelons *yes they actually do that* or refuse to sell you a watermelon because you are a Rider fan *they do that too* ) … you may substitute said watermelon for a Pilsner beer bottle box *Note*: Remove Beer before putting the box on your head! preferred method of beer removal.. 1 bottle at a time, drink it then take another… by the time you finish the 12th beer the idea of being seen in public wearing a beer box for a hat will be quite appealing! … One last thing… a Rider fan is never truly disrespectful to opposing team fans, No calling them foul names, no BOOing when their team nails a touchdown , a collective sigh or aww is acceptable, trash talk is reserved for the tailgate parties before the game , but must be friendly and jolly in nature, absolutely NO FIGHTING, take the High Road, You’re part of an Elite Club that everyone else envies, maintain the peace by offering up a burger , beer and green jello shot and a handshake.

Guess what my new hobby is

So I spent a year watching people like Tim, Tickle,Popcorn Sutton, and Jim Tom on TV and was thinking jeez laweez that looks like fun! not running from the revenue man or the law, but What it is these colorful characters do, so I figured Id give it a whirl, since I dont yet have a functional "mechanical container" (Still),I am currently using the fermentation method.

anyway here is a easy recipe for some good home brew

Easy RUM

Two pounds of brown sugar per one gallon of water and one cup of honey for every ten gallon batch. Starting hydrometer reading of about 90. Do not exceed 100. Add 1 to 3 ozs of yeast per 10 gallons of mash.

Heat one fourth of your water to 120 or 130 degrees only hot enough to melt the sugar, then stir in your sugar and then the honey last. Pour it into your fermenter and finish filling with cool water to cool it down to 80 degrees. Take a hydrometer reading and adjust as needed. The add your yeast. 6 to 14 days to ferment.

I am pretty sure making moonshine is illegal here in Canada as well, however you Can buy beer, wine, and spirits making kits, and with all the required equipment build a decent still as well, so as long as its not sold and only used for personal use and brewed in batches of 2 to 10 gallon batches then theres not a lot the law can do about it.

I am working on a simple stove top still made from a pressure cooker and about 10 feet of 1/4 inch copper pipe, when I perfect it I will post pictures.

Anyway its late , have a good weekend folks

Holistic Journey what exactly my wife is doing to combat the cancer within

This Blog post is about Holistic/Homeopathic Healing, particularly what my wife is doing to Combat her Lung Cancer, I want to STRESS that the Medical worlds use of Chemo Therapy is what in fact saved her life, and after 8 rounds of Chemo over the course of 8 months, she survived and was able to begin the Holistic part of her fight against Cancer.

All over the internet you can read about folks who have cured themselves with various holistic and non medical methods, Rick Simpson is a good example, he in fact did cure his cancer with Hemp Oil, there are many many stories about Hemp Oil and of people who have been cured from using it, and they are in fact true. Hemp oil is most certainly a good tool in the fight against Cancer, The reason why they don’t use it in Hospitals? Because the big drug companies can’t patent a plant that anyone can grow! Sad but true.

There are other Cancer fighters out there that can help combat, manage and cure Cancers, like B-17 ( Laetrile/Amygdalin) my wife takes it in capsule form 100 mg 3X per day, now the capsules are illegal in many places (due mostly to cyanide build up fears by the medical profession), Mexico uses B-17 in their hospitals to treat Cancer patients, if you can’t find B-17 in capsule form all is not lost, you can get Apricot bitters (crushed/ground up Apricot seeds) at your local health food or Holistic store, there is Laetrile in them, you can use a grinder and grind them down further and make your own capsules if need be, or sprinkle it in your foods and salads, you can also simply eat the crushed seeds.

Curcumin (Turmeric extract) is also another Cancer fighting agent, and is legal world wide, my wife takes 680 mg 3X per day in capsule form, this stuff does more than just fight cancer, if you have arthritis it helps lessen the frequency of the flare ups and helps boost your immune system, you can find a ton of information on Curcumin (turmeric extract) online and it’s various uses.

Cannabis Sativa seed oil is a weaker but legal version of Hemp oil, it can be found at health food stores and Holistic stores , my wife takes 760mg 3 X per day in capsule form , the THC level is so low that it’s not even mentioned on the ingredient list, but the Cannabinoids are all there that are needed to combat cancers where as Hemp oil is high in THC. (Hemp oil would obviously be the better choice of the two, but you work with what’s available) Hemp oil is really expensive and unaffordable to many people (including us) so we use the affordable Cannabis Sativa seed oil..

Another thing she does is change the PH balance in her body, Cancer likes an acidic environment, 1 teaspoon of Baking Soda in an 8 ounce glass of lemon water (no sugar) and she drinks that 3X per day to maintain a PH balance that the Cancer can not thrive in…. Baking soda was found to combat cancers very early in the last century (late 1800’s early 1900’s) there is a lot of info online about it.

Finally Chemo destroys your immune system, making it so you can’t be around people with colds or flu’s or any illness as what is minor to them could be fatal to you, the medical world generally doesn’t tell you when your immune system will start recovering or if it will recover at all…. so many questions left unanswered, for a mega immune booster (and again a cancer fighter) Honey and Ginger , I make mason jars of this for my wife, basically I fill half a mason jar with honey, then the other half with fresh shopped and diced Ginger and mix it all together thoroughly, my wife takes 1 teaspoon 4X per day straight out of the jar, it has to be a plastic or ceramic spoon as metal spoons cause some sort of chemical reaction, I found this recipe online , and I can tell you after 3 days of her doing this her energy levels are through the roof!

These are the Homeopathic medicines that my wife uses, I can’t tell you what capsule is working or what combination she is taking that is working, but what she is taking is helping her, is it Curing her Cancer?? … I won’t be able to tell you until February the 11th , when we find out the results of the CT Scan which happens February 4th . It truly is helping her, but if it’s curing her we don’t know just yet.

I won’t say screw the medical world and fight cancer on your own with Holistics and homeopathy, that choice is yours and yours alone, but I will say that supplementing medical treatment with holistics can be a good thing and generally won’t hurt you, But Definitely look into Hemp oil, if you can afford it and obtain it , it may just be the magic bullet as there is so much information out there on it.

The whole point of this post is NOT to say screw medical help, the point is to put it out there and make people aware that there are alternatives, that there is more options than just Chemo, to get people to start researching alternatives to Chemo, to make people aware that we do not have to rely on the big drug and pharmaceutical companies to heal us when we are broken, that there are alternatives, to share information on what works, or seems to work, to make people aware.

The above regimen that my wife is on is working for her, will it work the same for you? I don’t know, as I stated we are not sure what combinations are doing what, so we stick to them all and that seems to be benefiting her a very great deal, she is pain free and has no shortness of breath, she is able to have an almost normal life again, she feels good and is healthy, as I also said she gets a CT scan February 4th and we will find out just how much all of this is helping February 11th, and you can bet I will post the results here in my Blog.

So that’s it for now, from My little Family to you and yours , Have a Blessed and Merry Christmas

Remember folks, express your love often, never take tomorrow for granted, and be kind to others

Catching up Again!

Sorry for not writing in awhile, there are a few reasons (excuses)as to why I havent been writing lately, #1- out here in the country we lack Cable internet or any other form of land based internet, we rely on a wireless internet mobile stick, (like wifi) , which has many advantages over land based connections, such as complete control over who uses your internet (no stick no internet simple no?), also you can plug it into any pc or laptop ipad or any internet able device and boom youre online instantly, your not restricted to any buildings, grab your laptop and sit in the middle of a field day or night or use it in your car etc, its mobile.

The downside? we have only 1 internet mobile stick and we have a 12 year old who "needs" to electronically amuse himself, (he plays games posts kid type stuff on his facebook and writes his pen pals ) , I am also married to a wonderful wife who has a pretty bad You-Tube addiction, she is hooked on 80s music and funny videos, so that means (even though I pay for the device),I get the last dibs on the internet! (dunno how or why that came to be, I just come to accept it as fact)

Sooo, since I dont get use of the internet often (as much as "I" would like), I have been keeping busy winterizing the cars, the house, the work sheds, the yard etc. getting ready for another 6 to 7 months of pure Canadian Winter HELL, (okay so Im getting old and the winters are getting harder on me with each passing year) I tell you unless you live in Alaska or the North Pole, or Siberia, you just can not fathom how bitterly cold our Canadian Prairie Winters can be, imagine 12 foot tall snow banks on either side of your 135 foot long driveway, that you have to shovel by hand at times because its so bitterly cold your snow blower and tractor are froze up solid, now keep that image and add a balmy minus 45 to minus 50 temperature, much colder if the wind is blowing quicker than 10 miles an hour ,and it does, it usually gusts 40 to 80 miles an hour, yeah, well there you are ,Welcome to HELL and yes it does freeze over!!

I shouldnt curse our luck just yet by mentioning snow just yet (yes snow is a 4 letter swear word , in fact it is the foulest of swear words known to human kind), I mean there is None YET!! this time last year we were buried up to our asses in it, so I count my small blessings, this is October so anything is possible.

Nature sure is pretty this time of year though, all the leaves have turned bright crimson reds and bright yellows, except for the evergreens, blue spruce, white pines, and majestic douglas furs who defy the seasons and remain vibrant greens and blues, the grass is still green though dormant now, hordes of wild geese and other warm weather fowl are gathering in the now empty fields preparing for their journey south, while the summer birds go the winter birds are arriving, chickadees, snowy owls, etc, the rabbits are turning from browns and grays to white, it really is a pretty sight.

I will purchase a new camera (since I drove over my last one) and take photos and post them this winter,I would like to get even more wild life photos than I managed last winter,if I can get a good enough camera I will get you all some photos of our winter storms too, I would also like to get a cheap video camera so I can post videos to this blog, Im working on that, maybe Santa will be nice to me this year.

anyway, thats all for now

What to Look For in Ultimate Workbench Plans

What to Look For in Ultimate Workbench Plans

Exactly what constitutes good ultimate workbench plans? First of all, it have to have considered the entire space of the place, such as a garage the place that the work table will be built upon. Taking time and energy to measure the dimension of the work area can lessen the complexity of making a working table completed.

The space will also determine the appropriate height and width of the working table. In general, normal working tables tallness reaches at around the waist height of the person who will be using the idea. While its thickness really needs to be within the arms reach of the person who will frequently work on it.
